After graduating from high school, I started studying electrical engineering at Azad University Central Tehran Branch in Sep 2012, because of my interest in mathematics and physics courses. I was an active, hard-working and successful student in that field. The witness of that is writing and publishing two books in mathematics. (Linear Algebra, 978-600-04-0681-3, Tehran, Iran and Multi variable Calculus, 978-622-00-0129-4, Tehran, Iran). But after a while and more familiar with the field of electrical engineering, I felt that pursuing this field and working in this area would not satisfying me. I had grown up in a family where my parents were both doctors. For years, I've seen their hardships in this job and I've always been wondering what causes them to be interested in doing so. During studding in the university, I was thinking more about this and found the secret is the service that is being given to others in medicine. The pleasure physicians take from the treatment of a patient; no other person can experience it in other businesses. I felt the only job that could satisfy me is medicine. So, in spite of my success in the field of electrical engineering, I gave it up in Dec 2015 and decided to start studding medicine. I attended a medical entrance exam in Iran (June 2016) unfortunately I was not successful due to the high competition and limited capacity. Subsequently, according to the rules, permission to participate again in entrance examinations was subject to military service. It was possible for me to leave Iran and study at universities outside of Iran. But in terms of Iranian law, passing military service is required. Also, because after graduation I plan to return to Iran and work in Iran, I decided to complete the military service before continuing study. So I did my military service in Jan 2017 – Feb 2018. Then I started to strength my English language. I hope I will do my best job to study medicine to make my dream come true. China Medical University, is one of the best universities in field of medicine in China and I am sure that I can fulfill my ambition by studding and working in field of medicine. Medicine has always been my passion and I reckon your university is the best fit for my wish. First of all, this year I’ve been studying medicine in France but I decided to leave because I miss a more foreign environment that studying in China would offer me. Second of all, the death of my father due to cancer pushed me into pursuing this passion of mine being, also, one of my dad’s last wishes. I would also like to point out that I’m fluent, or nearly fluent, in 5 languages (including English and Chinese) since I’ve been taught from a young age that languages are essential to a future and successful career. I am Trishauna Ellis, a past student of Merl Grove High and graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona in which I earned a bachelor’s degree in Basic Medical Sciences, majoring in Pharmacology. Over the years, through primary and high school I had the dream of becoming an orthopaedic surgeon. I was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 8 by Dr. Saw at the Bustamante Hospital for Children where he monitored the progression of my scoliosis until age 14. At each appointment, I would be examined and observed by not only Dr. Saw but by his medical students from the University of the West Indies in their white coats which seemed magical. At this point I knew I had to venture down this career path to assist others with similar skeletal deformities. Dr. Saw along with having both of my parents working in the health field, my mom being a surgical nurse and my dad working as an auditor at the Ministry of Health has inspired me. Dr. Saw would tell me it took hard work and a lot of dedication to do medicine and at every visit I looked forward to his encouragement. During high school, I then realized that the route to medical school was not an easy one as Dr. Saw and many others had apprised. My grades in the 2013/2014 CAPE examinations were not sufficient to afford me the scholarship or subsidized tuition I needed to permit my attendance in medical school. I resorted to doing the Basic Medical Sciences program as it seemed like the closest route to my original path. During the Basic Medical Sciences Programme it has created a platform which has helped in developing maturity and an understanding of how significant and diverse the field of medicine is. At the end of the three years of the Basic Medical Science, Pharmacology bachelor’s degree, the desire and passion to study medicine is still flourishing. It would be a great joy full filling opportunity to be considered to pursue my dream career at CMU and also this would allow me to explore China's unique culture.

. Witnessing life-threatening illnesses in my family including breast cancer and diabetes gave me a perspective on the whole doctor-patient life and of the value of the work of doctors. Growing up in a developing country is not without its hardships, but through it all my aspirations of pursuing a medical career have not changed. Since the loss of a beloved person in my life, I had a burning desire to be the cause of people's healing and their families' rejoice. I wanted to become a person having the power to make a person smile when on the final steps life's journey. One of the biggest lessons I learned was not all that we desire comes true and there are limits when blaming ourselves. Since then, the career of becoming a doctor was the only scene I had envisioned when the word “future” put itself into existence. I adore challenges yet despise competitions. I believe an individual should blossom alone having his past self the only rival. What's magnificent about doctors is that they don't compete with each other when enhancing a person's health, but they work together, making me realize the importance of teamwork. I chose medicine as I believe if an academic environment isn't what's available to me, I wouldn't know another atmosphere to dedicate my productivity. Being surrounded by knowledge gives me a feeling of security. I fear ignorance and lack of education as those are the thieves of my confidence and my self-worth. In my perspective, medicine is a prestigious study that always keeps your head up when overcoming challenges along the way. It is interesting as it always develops with time due to constant discoveries in medicine and cures to diseases. I've always achieved straight A's in biology as I found the human body an astonishing unit with many systems syncing together to provide the best unduplicatable organism to undergo life. I was one of the top 5 students to be offered a trip to one of Saudi Arabia's largest petroleum companies, Aramco. This motivated me to strive even further in my studies. I received a certificate of excellence for Cambridge exams in 2015. Fascinated by medicine, I watch surgeries online and read a surgical handbook mom gifted me called “Oxford's Handbook of Clinical Surgery”. Watching medical dramas also gave me an idea of how the atmosphere of doctors, residents, and medical students look like. Moreover, I often go to my aunt's clinic to observe work ethics. My aunt was also kind enough to take me with her to attend medical seminars. Overall, I believe I am a person driven by challenges and I can use experiences to my own benefit. I am also firm that a degree in Medicine will be a great foundation to my future career success, whatever field that may exist.

Hunger, famine and also ethnic conflict lead to tribal war, have been common. In all these situations diseases and death have been common among women and children. I'm choosing the stated university as it is one of the leading universities in China. I want to acquire the best possible knowledge about the field which I desire to major (mbbs). I'm looking forward to learning a lot from here.
The prospect of attending the prestigious China Medical University has been an aspiration of mine since I first decided that China would become home as i wished to further my academic astuteness outside of Jamaica, my homeland. My volition being to study medicine. China Medical University is said to have great facilities, excellent teaching and a good atmosphere which is all I could ask for as a student who is willing to spend six years of his life at an institution far from home. Being one of China's top universities is fantastic incentive and the reviews I've read prove this institution to be THE institution if ever one were to choose to study in China. It is for these reasons that China Medical University is my institution of preference.
It seems to be the best university for pursuing my dream as a world-class neurosurgeon.
I choose to apply to this university as the history behind it intrigued me. Seeing as to how it's the first Chinese Medical School established in 1931. Also the ranking of the university shows how hard working everyone is , student and professors alike. This all attracted me to apply. I'm a very competitive person myself, and I believe this university will be a great fit for myself.
