I once read a research paper entitled " Overview of Active Flow Control on Internet" which introduced me to the flow control techniques, and how they helped to reduce drag, increase lift and reduce noise level. The complexity of the control techniques has challenged me, and I became certain that I wanted to specialize in the field of flow control. Many big organizations such as NASA are investing in research pertaining to flow control mechanisms. In future, I would like to work for such organisations as a researcher. To be more specific I would like to study the flow control in high-speed vehicles by employing techniques such as plasma actuation or laser energy deposition. In 10-15 years’ time I see myself working for a research organisation, working to improve efficiency on high-speed vehicles such as missiles or re-entry vehicles using flow control techniques. After going through the program structure of your esteemed University, I am sure that i will be able to gain so much knowledge about my course which will surely help me in my career ahead.

I got to know this university due to the research I made on internet, and also thanks to the positive comments posted by current students of the university. This really pushed me to know more about it and the facilities the university offers. To begin, the university offers great educational facilities which is what I need to become an expert in the field I wish to pursue. However, it is true that some other countries also provide these facilities but I am really passionate about China. I love the Chinese culture and I find it very interesting. I truly want to know more about the Chinese customs and lifestyles, and what is the best way of knowing more about a culture and its people? The answer is simple, by interacting directly with these people and learning from them. Apart from the awesome educational facilities, the living cost in the university and China as a whole are relatively cheap. This will help me to be less burdened about financial constraints and to be more concentrated on my studies. Moreover, the presence of a culturally diverse environment with a lot of international students will enable me to be more open-minded. In addition to that, the African students present at the university will give me the impression of “being at home”.
