Living in an area which is rich in hydro carbons, many national and international companies exploring different fields getting oil and gas production, the kind of job people do there, that kind of fascinated me a lot about the petroleum world. And besides I live in a country which is on the verge of extreme economic development, so we have an ever increasing shortage of Energy and electricity failures are frequent here, which affect our daily life a lot in scorching sun. Shortage of energy in our country, job schedule, opportunity to travel a lot, purely applied field, and promising career were some of the motives that compelled me to choose petroleum and gas engineering as my major in university. Having majored in the petroleum engineering from Balochistan University of information technology engineering and management sciences (BUITEMS), which is one of the very few universities, providing a major in Petroleum and Gas engineering in our country and owns the first-class petroleum engineering department. I learnt a great deal of specialized knowledge, which include, petroleum geology, oil reservoir physics, heat and mass transfer, basics of reservoir engineering, engineering fluid mechanics, oil production engineering and drilling engineering. My scholastic performance has always made me stand distinguished from every one throughout my degree program. Besides academics, I was actively involved in all co-curriculum activities including lectures and programs arranged by SPE, student affairs and sports directorate activities. I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering with CGPA of 3.24 out of 4.00 which is equivalent to 80.98% as per HEC grading. I have been actively involved in research throughout my undergraduate’s studies. As a part of my undergraduate degree, I completed a research-based project in my final year of B.Sc. Engineering. with group of six other students, worked on project titled as, “A comparative study of well intervention techniques”. The study of petroleum engineering at a graduate level is a crucial step in my professional life. I believe that the Xi’an Shiyou University has great rapport with the industry can provide excellent opportunities to work on real time projects and network with professionals. I am highly excited to be interacting with engineers, academics and professionals from various backgrounds. In addition, the school's direct association to the industry provides a great opportunity to work on real time projects. I am confident that I have the preparations and potentials to prove an asset to your graduate program as a graduate student and as an assistant with research duties.
