First the university from what I search seems to have a good history and experience in the area of medical sciences. So it specializes in Medical studies and practice, which gives me hands on experience on the neurobiology field (with doctors, with the clinical aspect). Learning at Nanjing Medical University is far from home and I believe that this an advantage. It is easy to become comfortable in our environments but I have the thirst for learning something new. As a student growing up in a country with a history of a western influence and English as an official language I find it hard to think in my own language especially seeing how western culture has quickly been integrated into our country. I noted that Chinese culture is much alive and is thriving, being exposed to such an environment will enable me to appreciate my own culture and heritage similarly. Also it is a benefit to be exposed to western teaching styles as it encourages me to imagine myself as part of the world rather than a continent or a country. Understanding of most cultures will allow me to become a better doctor. I am very much interested in studying medicine at this prestigious university. It would be a honor to be accepted so I can study in the medical field and become a pathologist/mortician after becoming a doctor. I would be a valuable asset to this college because of my extracurricular activates; to include being a member of the Optimist Club both at the Antigua Girls High School and the Antigua State College, also being an Interact , a Girl Guide for the Methodist Church and most importantly I did track and field and obtained two medals: one for being second place in 800 meters and first place in 100 meters. I may not have the perfect GPA score, but I would sure be beneficial to this institution not only representing the college in any aspect in competition, but working to excel in all subject areas, to honour and respect the rules and regulations for the college, to be a role model college student and most of all to defend the motto of the institution and to market the college where ever I go with pride and dignity.
