I studied Chinese for one semester in Donghua University starting on March 2018. It was a wonderful experience and I'm happy to say that it could not have been any better. The international environment was perfect and taught me a lot of new things about the world and myself. Lastly, after only one semester at Donghua, I saw a hugely positive transition in my Chinese language skills. Before entering Donghua, I couldn't read or write any Chinese, I could only speak. By the end of the course, I was able to read, write and type Chinese and it added to my arsenal of the language. The dominant themes of my purpose are to coordinate enterprises management to market requirements and simulate economic activity and production processes, to use mathematical modeling methods those are most important to manage processes, to research mathematical modeling of economic processes, to optimize of using productive capacity, to develop market equilibrium model for branch, to use correlation-regression models, to create and improve the production function for Textile and light industry etc. At the same time, I am trying to learn foreign economic relations by taking part in the creative process, experimenting with the methods used by Chinese professors. Four years ago I started studying Chinese at the German School of Barcelona as an extra school activity. Step by step I became more interested in learning language and also Chinese culture. In summer of 2015 thanks to Hanban, some students went to a summer campus in Harbin during two weeks. After considering different universities in Shanghai, I thought Donghua University was the best one in offering complete Chinese classes: Italian university classes are known to be huge and it was very difficult for us to speak chinese and, at the same time, it was very difficult for our teachers to understand what were our needs and what were the best exercises to do in order to improve our Chinese. I have studied Chinese language from 2012, but it was not enough to study so serious language 2 hours per week. I got a progress only when I met native Chinese teacher in 2015, but it still was not enough. When I made a short trip to Hong Kong, I realised how poor are my skills. In same time for short period I have learned several new hanzi just because I faced them everytime. I had some practice for negotiating with Chinese people - shops, markets etc. And I found out that the only way to make a significant progress in Chinese is to go to China and join language classes in serious university.

I chose this university for many reasons. First of all, I take Mandarin as part of my subjects for my diploma, and that is something I would like to continue improving in the future. Of course, the city this university is in isn't the only city I could learn Mandarin in. However, I had the opportunity to visit Shanghai in 2011 and I absolutely loved the city.
