Scholarship Detail

The full scholarship provides:
Tuition fees for four years.
An annual living allowance (RMB25,000 in 2017) for four years.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be available to those applicants who:
1. Non-Chinese citizens in good health at application;
2. less than 35 years old at application;
3. English proficiency certificate will be required (TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0 or pass through an interview by TJU);
4. Candidates are required to enroll in Tianjin University as ‘international students’ and must maintain this status for the duration of their enrolment in the University;
5. Scholarships holders must commence study in Tianjin University in the semester the scholarship is offered.

3. Notarized certificate of the highest diploma.
If applicants are university students, they must provide an official pre-graduation certificate showing their student status and stating expected graduation date, the original certificate should be provided after admission. If the applicants are employed, they must also provide proof of employment on application. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English（original one and a copy）;

4. Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy):
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;

5. Photocopy of passport;

6. Language Certificate;
Applicants who want to join in the programs taught in Chinese must submit HSK certificate. (a minimum requirement of HSK 4 Score 180 or above) ;
Applicants who want to join in the programs taught in English must submit the certificate of TOEFL (Score 80 or above), or IELTS (Score 6.0 or above) or pass the English Language Test held by TJU;

Objective

This program offers a wide choice of disciplines that prepare for the young elites in the field of environment and energy. The undergraduates will be educated to master the frontiers of knowledge and excellent skills to solve the environmental problems in the fields of water, wastewater, air and solid waste pollution, and energy usage. Wide and promising careers for the students cover environmental design, management and pollution control in enterprises and administrative departments, as well as education and research in scientific institutions.
