Introduction: School of Chinese Language and Literature
The School of Chinese Language and Literature (SCLL) consists of the Chinese Department, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs for Chinese students, the Department of Chinese as a Foreign Language, providing undergraduate programs to international students, and the Chinese Language Training Center, specialized in non-degree education. The School has a group of teachers with rich professional experience, training about 1,700 students, with 1,200 from overseas.
So far, the School is authorized to confer the first-level discipline Master’s Degree for Chinese Language andLiterature, which has five MA programs, namely Linguistics and AppliedLinguistics, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Chinese Language Studies, Comparative Literature and World Literature,and Chinese Ancient Literature respectively, and offers two PhD programs, namely Comparative Literature and Cross-culture Study, as well as Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. All the programs are open to foreign students.
Master’s Degree Program
The School of Chinese Language and Literature (SCLL) is not only responsible for the teaching and management of domestic BA/BS students, but is also responsible for providing tuition to its international MA/MS students. It provides five MA programs, namely Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Chinese Language Studies, Comparative Literature and World Literature,and Chinese Ancient Literature. We also offer PhD programs in Comparative Literature and Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. All the programs are open to international students.
