Scholarship Detail

This scholarship supports outstanding new master and PhD students:

Type A: Tuition fee, accommodation fee (double room A), overall medical insurance and stipend (1700yuan/month for master students; 12 months for one year).

Type B: Tuition fee, accommodation fee (double room A), overall medical insurance.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and good in health.

For master scholarship program: Applicants must be holders of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree, two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, and under the age of 35 as of September 1st, 2021;

For PhD scholarship program: Applicants must be holders of a master's degree or an equivalent degree, two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, and under the age of 40 as of September 1st, 2021.

Language proficiency requirements:
● Applicants for Chinese-taught programs should have an HSK test score of level 4 or above;
●There are no Chinese language proficiency requirements for the applicants for English-taught programs, but applicants (except for English native speakers) must have TOEFL test score 90 or IELTS test score 6.5 (or above) or have other related certificate of English language proficiency.

Applicants must have good academic performance

Applicant must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarships.

Documents You Need to Provide

a. Notarized highest degree certificate and academic transcripts;

b. Proof documents for Chinese language or English language proficiency;

c. Passport Photocopy;

d. Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

e. Certificate of No Criminal Record

f. Scholarship Application Form (provided by CUCAS).

g. For applicants under the age of 18, a letter of Authorization for Parents and a letter of Guarantee for Guardian shall be submitted. The guardian shall be a Chinese adult or foreigner residing in China.

h. Two letters of recommendation written and signed by professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English, with their phone number and email address.

j. Published academic papers or other academic achievements (if available. The priority will be given to the applicants with academic achievements.)

As a featured program nation-wide, PhD in Business Management at Zhejiang Gongshang University was set up as a PhD project in 2003. In 2009, it was further evolved into a post-doctoral project and its research quality has made it a top ranked post-doctoral project across the nation since 2011. This program seeks to provide cutting-edge knowledge with Chinese context. Various institutions, both academic and commercial, have been playing an indispensable role in maintaining and improving the research quality of this program. This program is supervised by a team of 58 experts, among which 22 are professors and 36 assistant professors.
PhD in Business Management is a course designed for those international students who have acquired Master degrees or above prior to applications. This course seeks to equip international students with systematic knowledge of business management in academia as well as in research; as a result, it is tailored for business managers and active researchers. Through this course, students will achieve the following objectives:
1) Be familiar with the ways in which business management has evolved overtime;
2) Firmly grasp characters of Chinese business reform and business development;
3) Be able to apply research methodologies and analyses managerial issues by using statistics, game theory and other relevant research methods or theories;
4) Be able to carry out research independently.
