3. School of Business Introduction

Editor Notes: The school aims to bridge business with technology, and to nurture managerial talent with advanced knowledge and practical ability.

As emerging technology is disrupting business, the ECUST School of Business focuses on the integration of business and technologies, including biotechnology, information technology and pharmacy, with a view to cultivating business leaders with specific industry knowledge. Most of our students have a science or engineering background. The annual graduate’s survey shows that the graduates of the School mainly work in manufacturing/materials, IT/communication, automobile, pharmaceutical, logistic, and chemical industries.

The MBA Program and EMBA Program of ECUST School of Business were accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in 2012 and re-accredited in 2018, both with a five-year validity period, the longest validity period of AMBA accreditation. The School was also accredited by the Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA) in 2015. In 2017, ECUST School of Business was recognized for its submission ‘B+T’ Educational System by the Innovation that Inspire Initiative of AACSB.

4. College of International Education(CIE) Introduction

Editor Notes: CIE is responsible for recruitment, enrollment, academic affairs coordination and service of all international students coming to ECUST.

As an eligible university authorized by the Ministry of Education to enroll international students since 1956, ECUST has over 60 years' experience in teaching and serving for over tens of thousands of international students from more than 140 countries.

Founded in 2006, College of International Education, located on the main campus in Xuhui district, is a bridge and bond between international students and the university. It is responsible for recruitment, enrollment, academic affairs coordination and service of all international students coming to ECUST.

International students can apply for a bachelor, master or doctoral degree program or visiting program offered by ECUST, as well as long-term or short-term Chinese language and culture program and various customized programs.

Given the student-orientated management policies, CIE always bears the interests of the students in mind and is committed to build up an efficient and effective learning platform and comfortable living environment for all the international students at ECUST.

5. Introduction of East China University of Science and Technology(ECUST)

Editor Notes: NPU is one of the national "985 Project" and "211 Project" key universities. It is famous for "Sanhang" disciplines (i.e., aeronautics, astronautics, marine science and technology).

*4. Copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form

The original form should be kept by applicants. The physical examination must cover all of the items listed in the form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. 6. Acceptance Letter(Please be sure to upload if any)

For those who have not received the acceptance letter from supervisor, CIE will contact the appropriate school to arrange.

*7. Copy of passport photo page

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included(Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months. Applicants currently residing in China must include a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.)

*9. Copy of graduation and degree certificate of the highest education

Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
Prospective diploma recipients must submit an official document issued by the current school to prove the current study status and expected graduation date. If applicants are admitted, a scan copy of the graduation and degree certificate shall be sent before registration.

*10. Transcripts of all bachelor courses

Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.

*11. Two Recommendation Letters in English or Chinese from Professor or Associate Professor

Recommendation Letters should be issued after 1st September 2022 and contain the following information: title, institute, contact information, e-mail and signature of the referee.

*12. A Study Plan with a minimum of 800 words and a detailed Research Proposal if prepared.

*13. English proficiency test certificate

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.
