Being accepted to study in China in the field of Technology and/or Architecture will greatly assist in my education, open doors for future prospects, fulfill my career field as well as contributing back to my government and to my community and to my home country.

Information is a living organ where the society change, the information technology also changes. Information technology is an area, which has interested me from very young age. I like to work with people, information technology is interconnecting with public, and therefore I feel this is the best career path, which will enable me to work for companies. Apart from that without an awareness of information technology, we are facing many disadvantages in all aspects of life. It is not the way I wished to live my life and personally, I feel that all who have aspirations must know information technology. When I was doing my Bachelor in software engineering initial stages was good, I enjoyed the first semester very well. I loved the subjects web development and data base information technology. From the second semester, we faced many problems. Issues regarding the certification and valid of the course. Our batch contained large number of student, after this issue across very few students remained, our patient and hopes never be vanished. We got through with all the difficulties; finally, we got the positive results and successfully completed the Bachelor in software engineering. I do understand the hare work and effect need in a information technology degree. I believe I have ability to undertake all the challenges. For me, studying is always a pleasure. I have the unconditional support of my family, which gives me strength to apply for this course. My intention is to develop myself as a skilful information technology through your highly respect degree program. I wish to work for companies. I will have the opportunity to improve the lives of others and be able to evaluate the nature of human relationships. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends are the most important feature of my life. I love pets; I believe pets are the best healer. I am interested in classical musical and traditional dance. I learnt Carnatic music and bhatanatyam. I have participated many competitions in island wide. I love to try new cuisines and enjoy with my family. Ultimately, I believe that I have sufficient skills to enable me to learn the information technology degree and contribute at a university as I develop in the learning of the information technology and shape my future as an engineer. I try my best in all the things that I do and I assure that I will give it my all in my time at university.

My name is Ikafia, Ubong Sam. I completed my undergraduate studies in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from University of Uyo, Uyo in August 2015, with a CGPA of 4.19/5.0 (Second class honour degree – B.Eng.). During my undergraduate education, I was hardworking, studious, determined and the grace of God made me outstanding. Besides graduating as the second best student of the department, I held the position of a class representative for two academy sessions. I also led a project group of six members to a huge success on the Design, Simulation, Implementation and Evaluation of 1kVA Online Solar power system. As an extra-curriculum activity, I am a talented football player. I am from a God fearing family of three and my parents are both retired civil servants. I previously held three internship positions with Afam Power Plc, Afam VI Combined Cycle Power Plant with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. I learnt the operation and maintenance of the power plants and maintenance Planning for oil and gas sector. Recently, I have completed my NSYC program with Ministry of Public Utilities and Water resources, Umuahia as an Electrical graduate engineer with a complete research paper on Wind Energy Potential in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria that compares the energy potential of the plain and the coastal region of the state and how this can be harnessed to improve the energy situation of my country. As my career goals, I want to be an expert in Power System and Automation, working in the power or oil and gas sector, so that I can contribute immensely to the development of Nigeria and the world at large on my return. In Nigeria, most Instrument and control engineers are expatriates and there are a lot of unresolved issues in Nigeria’s control system. Finding solutions to these issues that inhibits the development of my country especially in the power sector in my passion. I will become a lecturer in a university in the later path of my career, to impart my knowledge and working experience in my country. I am greatly motivated by my career goals. This program will be a progression in my career path. A master’s degree in Power System and Automation will help me achieve these goals. In contribution to development of my country, we have designed an off-grid solar PV system for a rural community in southern Nigeria. This project is awaiting sponsorship as this community of over a thousand residents have no access to electricity from the national grid. I also have publication and research papers on the wind and solar energy as an alternative means of generating electricity to balance the increasing demand of electricity in my country. The aim of the research is find the real solution to Nigeria’s energy problem. I still have an ongoing research on power plant management software. Studying the course at Liaoning University of Technology, China, I will have the necessary exposure and training to accomplish my career goals. I will also have a privilege of meeting new colleagues, building a professional network for greater tomorrow. I will have the chance to develop my football skills in the school team as I am a talented player. As an international student, I prefer to study abroad as I will have more exposure to the practical aspect and application of my course work. It will also give me a competitive career advantage for years to come. This will make me more relevant in this profession on my return. I am currently working in network operating center of SONITEL (NOC), National Telecommunication Company of Niger. We exploited telecom service and internet for the VOIP and TDM .China training will help me and staff in this company to understand the new architecture network and Internet services and proposed good quality on the telecom service. In my Company we are in the process of migrating to 3G and IMS Core and with HUAWEI must know the Internet architecture and services and oriented our architecture on the NGN next generation network. I am interesting to the telecom technologies and System Information because I should create and developed news service and help my staff and my community to reduce time In work in the using news technologies of information , and always accessing internet . I hope to continue my carrier in telecom or system information.
