I have successfully pursued a four-year Bachelor’s Degree Program in Computer Science and a minor in Physics at the University of The Gambia. In 2013, under the authority of the University Senate, I was admitted to a Bachelor of Science in (Computer Science). During my undergraduate studies, I learned many theories and practical of Computer Science of which I can confidently refer to at any time in my graduate studies. Besides, I have undergone some training programs related to IT, which is needed for me to effectively execute my duties as an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer at the Ministry of Fisheries and Water Resources of the Gambia. I have already had a chance to study in China and I've learned Chinese well enough to start doing technical translations from Chinese to Russian (not the other way around, sadly). Yet, after a few years I've spent outside China, I feel that my overall level of Chinese (especially speaking, and, most importantly, hand writing—not that I have much chance to practice it) is degrading. So, I hope for an opportunity to brush up on all these skills and learn some new ones to apply them in my professional life! As for the choice of Myanyang, as evident from the list of universities I've already studied Chinese at, I only had a chance to experience life in the coastal regions of China, and one can't possibly appreciate a whole picture just by looking at one part of it. Besides, I know about Myanyang ranked the third in the list of Chinese cities most comfortable for life, and, well, I love mountains (my home place lacks, alas) and spicy food (not much of this here, either).
