I am very happy with my position at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, but unfortunately the timing conflicts do not allow me to take any Chinese Language courses. I am already 33 years old and many of the programs become closed to me at 35. Zhengzhou University is well renowned for its high reputation and cultural significance in the area. As someone who has deep interest in China's history it would please me greatly to study in the Chinese heartland. My goal here is to attain my MA in Chinese History, but my slow acquisition of the Chinese language has made this dream difficult to reach. I learn best when in a classroom, I've come to find. Unfortunately, due to my country's drastic situations, We Afghans have been defeated and pushed, with many losing their trust and self-esteem due to the three or four decades of domestic war and conflict. In other words, the deteriorating conditions have driven many of us towards the margins of despair and we have been damaged harshly. The ongoing conflict as many Afghans has severely tarnished my life as well and I have gone through many cracks and downfalls till achieving my career goals from academic and professional perspectives. Being refugee to Pakistan due the to the hardship of war and leaving out my childhood land is one of the punitive tastes of my life. After the retreat of red forces(RUSS) form Afghanistan my family returned back to Afghanistan to start a peaceful life but once again domestic war started among the Afghan jihadi groups and very unfortunately I lost one of my younger brothers in those black-days of domestic war in a missile struck too. As a teenager after losing my younger brother life was so tough for us and my family everyday was challenged by famine as many others, yet we did not have any choice but to survive with the least we had in our hands. To sustain my family, I had to release my sheeps and lead them to grass lands everyday, and my only wish was when will be that day instead of leading my sheeps to grasses I, myself, to be leaded toward school. Thinking about school and having bag in my shoulders was like a daydream for me as a shepherd boy. My fortune star was looking dark and I did not have any idea of regarding my planet and globe as our shared village of humanity. Even if I had the opportunity of going to school it was too much risky, because of insecurity, threat and harassment. Unexpectedly the black days finished and the sun shines upon my land(Afghanistan) and fortunately it all has started in 2001. Therefore my academic journey began and I joined a local school in Paghman District of Kabul Province. It was the first push of life I tasted, because it was a new environment with new people and a new voyage for a shepherd boy. I continued my elementary and secondary studies at that local school and as time went by I held the first position in all classes. THE PERSONAL STATEMENT My interest in science widened when I started college. It gave me the opportunity to do well on my favorite subjects. This opportunity led me to have the interest on the physical human health; specifically the known illnesses that we can have at present and might have in the future. I ask myself questions like, Why do we get ill? Why do our adapted bodies fail to protect itself? How does it happen? How can it be treated? How can we avoid recurrences? I have an immense curiosity in the excellent design together with the imperfections of the human body. My aim is to gain competence in research, diagnosis and particularly the treatment of human diseases and ofcourse, practice it. I know that pursuing higher education and undergoing this course will further widen my knowledge, skills and help me achieve my aim. At college, I learnt clinical chemistry, biochemistry, human biology and physics. In clinical chemistry and biochemistry, I was attracted to the organic side because it is field that deals with formulation of drugs and greatly, overlaps with biology. It sharpened my techniques to understand functional part of the body and interpretation of chemistry results (urea and electrolyte). In biology, I typically enjoyed learning human immunity, human genetics and the possible uses of its development. I also realized the superior design of living bodies to adapt to their environment Physics on the other hand provided me the knowledge to deal with concerns of reliability, precision/ accuracy, and its effects to the interpretation of gathered data. Whilst studying my diploma in clinical medicine, I work as clinical officer at Kamuzu Central Hospital, I had privilege to be deployed in different specialist clinic for knowledge such as gynecology and obstetrics, diabetes and hypertension, urology, infertility and oncology clinic and palliative care team whereby a had a chance to care for the elderly. With this job I realize my enthusiasm to care for people and get gratitude in return. Also, I gained experience on how to deal with awkward situations towards people that are not in the right state of mind or unwell. I have improved transferable skills like time management and team working spirit. I have always have courage and determination to take any challenge in my life regards of my situation. After having chance of taken in consideration to enroll for the degree, I still have plan to take my learning to the next level by studying medicine and specialize either cardiology or child critical care management. Currently, financially I will be able to support myself but I have also assistant from my uncle, Mr D.S.M Kambauwa who has been my guardian since childhood. We have a chance to include the bank statement incorporated in the application form. At my on time a like watching football, movie and chatting with friend.
