this school is infinitely trash dont waste your time or money. these Chinese women who work in the administration are pure evil and only want to waste your time they dont care about your education or your well being. even the school therapist will tell your business to her colleagues because they have no fucking manners ..everythin about this school is garbage. they dont know the schedules they create, they dont know what classes you need, they dont know anything. they would prefer to yell at you and ignore you while you are standing in front of them and then laugh and gossip about you in Chinese while you are still trying to get assistance. they all need to be in some mental facility or at least go back to primary School and learn how to address people. they have no respect, they are cheaters and all they care about is having more information about them in the press, even though no one is succeeding. they give exam papers ahead of time to whoever they please ..and fail those they want to and then complain no one is passing or graduating just so they can keep getting money. they think all their students are worthless ...they dont understand how a university works. if I pay money for a service ..dont act like you are doing me a favor. I paid you to do your work ..its not complicated. if you dont want to work in administration blame your shitty life for not being able to have a different career ..why are you angry every single hour of every single day that u are at work.

I have read through academic writings of some PhD holders from Jiangsu University and i can conclude that it is a good school and an emerging international university. The professor to student ratio is more favorable.

INTRODUCTION I am a second year student doing medicine and so far my experience in Jiangsu University has been good. Jiangsu university is one of the most modern university in China with a very enviable history, it is located in the beautiful city of Zhenjiang in the most progressive province of Jiangsu. It is also in close proximity to one the most beautiful and amazing river, the Yangtze River. It is a bilingual University with courses offered both in Chinese and English. Courses ranging from medicine, engineering, business administration, international economics and trade, computer science and technology, chinese language literature and material science and pharmaceutical science are offered at undergraduate and post graduate levels. The university’s achievements and performance in research both locally and internationally, including its collaboration and cooperation with renowned universities, the private sector and industries in china and around the world, makes it one of the top rated university in china. FACILITIES Jiangsu university can boast of some of the most modern facilities available to students coming from all over the world. Excellent and well equipped labs, a modern gymnasium, spacious classrooms, lecture rooms and a dormitory facilities. Privacy is paramount with each dormitory room having its own toilet facilities, air conditioner, spacious storage facilities and a set of comfortable furniture’s. The landscaping is amazing, beautiful and well managed. Lawns that are well manicured with attractive flowers and trees, artificial lakes, decorative bridges and pavements makes the outdoor and interesting place to pass time. All these facilities are well monitored for the safety of all the students. QUALITY OF TEACHING Jiangsu university has qualified and experience lectures who are disciplined and hardworking and encourage punctuality. They are excellent in content delivery. After a year in medical school I realized I have learnt so much. They are efficient and knowledgeable in their different academic disciplines. They give timely responses to students concerns and prompt feedback and evaluations after tests and exams. They want every student to capture the materials being taught. ADMINISTRATION The administration is strict and respectful to all students. The OEC office handles the activities of the foreign students very efficiently. They show a lot of understanding and patience in handling student affairs. The also give guidance were necessary. The university has a long tradition of student activities, these include cultural days for foreign student, trips and seminars. Cafeteria serves delicious Chinese food and try to cater for the wide range of foreign students. The prices are affordable though chinese cuisine is sometimes not preferred by students the Muslim restaurant and canteen number four serve good food. VALUE FOR MONEY The fees at Jiangsu University is among the lowest in China considering the quality of the facilities and high standard of tuition.

I\'m a huge fan of reviews, so here\'s my review of my University. I found Jiangsu University online. I read a few different reviews and none of them were giving the University great feedback. Despite this, I did my own research and drove the administration wild with continuous e-mails. I highly recommend you do your background checks and speak to your prospective administrations before you make a gigantic move like this. There is obviously a significant language barrier which might cause difficulties when trying to enjoy life away from classes, but that\'s just a causality of living abroad. When you reach here, the Office of Overseas Education sets you up with a Chinese volunteer that is able to help you get around for a bit. Chinese students are incredibly friendly, so you\'ll be able to make friends who can help you further. As far as the actual campus is concerned, it\'s absolutely beautiful. There are 6 cafeterias, as well as 6 different playgrounds with basketball courts, a track and soccer fields amongst many other facilities. There are banks, grocery stores, post offices and cell phone shops through out the campus. It\'s really comforting knowing you don\'t have to go far especially when you\'re still new. The dorms are lovely and recently painted. The reception staff is friendly and always willing to help. I\'ve been here a little over a year and I\'ve seen or faced no problems. Your money will take you far if you manage it well, and since the city of Zhenjiang isn\'t as big or developed as Shanghai or Beijing, saving your money is easy. The best part of JU really is the administration office for Foreign students. They really look after students, they become a family away from your family.

Jiangsu University is located near Yangzi River in Zhenjiang a beautiful historic city. The University has a beautiful environment with huge facilities. I have been enrolled in the University for the past 3 years @ school of Clinical Medicine and Laboratory science to study Medicine. The University has a standard class room for students to take up their classes and have personal studies after class. The class rooms are well equipped with audio visual facilities and free internet connection for students to access information online as and when necessary. The library is also huge with several Chinese and English books which is accessible to all students. Although some of the teachers are very good and have command over the English Language other teachers battle with English which makes it difficult for students to catch up with what is being thought and spend extra time after class to review all the contents thought by those teachers. The overseas Education College, In order to make teaching more effective introduce an “I click” a sort of remote like software system where students can easily sign in their attendance and answer questions during lectures this help the lecturer to keep track of students understanding. The university also has an overseas Apartment to house the overseas students. Each room in the apartment is shared by two students. Although, there are some few students who pay for double to use the room a lone but is gradually becoming impossible to have a single room due to more foreign students being admitted in the University. The facilities in the hostel are standard but some Machines examples washing Machines and others on some floors have been broken down waiting to be fixed or replaced. Even though some of the staff are very good and always ready to solve students’ problems regarding the hostel others are also difficult to deal with due to Language barrier. The University also has several Canteens in the school that is accessible to both students and teachers and sell varieties of Chinese food at a very affordable prices. Also, there are several restaurant around the school for students. You can as well cook your traditional dish if you so wish. To make life easier for students each major is been assigned a particular OEC teacher who is responsible for the students in times of difficulties. These teachers serve as surrogate parent to guide, protect, help and provide important information to their students as and when necessary. The university has a huge gymnasium and several sports fields where students can go and keep fit. However, you have to pay before you can have access to the gymnasium. There OEC also organizes several entertainment, social and educative programs with the help of the students in order to promote happy life in Jiangsu University.

I arrived in Jiangsu University about 7 months ago. I was very pleased with the warm reception from everyone I met. They have a cool system where each new student is allocated a volunteer whom they can contact when they have a problem with going around campus or using the cafeteria, etc. First week is orientation week for all new students. That's something I think we should all go through, although I did feel a week is too long for some of us who were jet lagged, and there is a test on the orientation in the end, which is rather unnecessary. Classes begin immediately after the orientation. The accommodation is pretty decent. A room has 2 beds and a bathroom. There's a kitchen on each floor for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. On the surface things are great, the staff is very friendly at first, until you are weighed down by all the heavy rules. For example, you're not allowed to have visitors (which is unfair). Mind you, all students are forced to live on campus, but they provide very little freedom for us. It's like we're children in a prison. Jiangsu University has a very beautiful campus and very conveniently located next to shopping malls and the great supermarkets. Also, life in Zhenjiang is fairly cheap- if you are the economical type, you'll like it here. The campus is not short of facilities. The staff do try their best to make us feel at home. Each major is allocated a teacher who becomes sort of like a parent. Also many activities are organised for us. The education is pretty decent, but in some courses, I believe they could find teachers with better English. And it's my wish that because we are paying so much money, services like internet should be free for on campus students. Chinese learning is also good. The school has organised an event every Saturday where we interact in Chinese with other students called 'Chinese Corner'.

I arrived in Zhenjiang around July 2011 and have since been studying at this University, pursuing a Non-Degree Chinese Language Course. It's been a long year, and with its ups and downs, I'm grateful for my experience here. Amongst some of the things I'd mention are the school grounds and facilities, both quite recent and clean(especially the library), surrounded by gardens. The school's located not too far from downtown Zhenjiang which makes transportation pretty convenient. The teaching quality is fairly decent (though the level of English of some teachers could be better, especially when teaching Elementary Chinese classes), if one puts aside the fact that due to lack of organization, many students of different levels and programs are lumped together, making it difficult for the teacher to give each student the necessary attention. Some classes this semester had one student, others three, and others thirty. Accomodation is decent, a new building with a cafeteria nearby and near to one of the university gates, though a good twenty minute walk from the main entrance. However, there has been an influx of new students this semester and the College is having problems with space (note: it is obligatory for students to live on campus, no matter their age). As for the administration and organization, it's what this school is most lacking, and I would highly recommend patience to student or teacher visiting here.
