Category A scholarship is intended for excellent students who want to receive junior college or above education programs in our city and whose number is controlled within 5% of total on-campus overseas students in one university, with the standard of RMB 20,000 Yuan per academic year.

1. The applicants shall have foreign nationalities, hold foreign passports and valid visas or residence permits in China, be friendly to China and physically fit.
2. The applicants shall behave well, follow the university rules and regulations, and have no violations against Chinese laws during their stay in China.
3. Applicants of Category A scholarships should be academically outstanding.
4. Applicants of Category A scholarships have not won other scholarships granted by the Chinese government simultaneously.

Documents You Need to Provide

a. Photocopy of passport photo page.
b. Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English
The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
c. Notarized highest education diplomas attained, proof of study and transcripts (need to be translated into Chinese or English, and confirmation of your former school or local department).
d. Studying plans and goals.
e. Two letters of recommendation from your teachers.

Systematically master the basic theory and knowledge of bioscience and biotechnology, and acquire the basic capability of modern biotechnology, R&D, communication and innovation. Trained to be a versatile talent who can work in applied research, technology development, marketing, plant supervision and administration management in bioengineering, biotechnology pharmaceutical, medical and health, nutrition and other related fields, and possess the ability to do pioneering work or pursue advanced academic programs in related fields.

2. Credits, Allocation of Credit Hours, and Attendance Requirements

Editor Notes: Through 4-years' study, students are required to complete at least 140 credits.

Requirements for courses and credits: 34credits for General education curriculum①, 4 credits for General education curriculum②, 46.5 credits for major compulsory courses (including 34.5 credits for major core courses, and 12 credits for compulsory experimental courses), 20.5 elective credits(including 7 elective course, 7.5 credits for major developed courses and experimental elective courses, 6 credits for interdisciplinary free elective courses), 5 credits for fundamental practices, 30 credits for elevated practices. To graduate, total of the credits should not be less than 140, passing the major skill assessment is also required.

Founded in 1956, Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) covers two campuses in Zhangjiang province. The main one is located in one of the four metropolitan areas in Zhejiang Province—Jinhua—Yiwu Metropolitan area. Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and aroud May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
