Scholarship Detail

Xi'an City ‘The Belt and Road’ International Students Scholarship.

For the first prize winners, tuition fees, accommodation are waived. In addition, they are entitled to a yearly allowance: 2000RMB/person/month for master candidates.

For the second prize winners, tuition fees are waived. In addition, they are entitled to a yearly allowance: 2000RMB/person/month for master candidates.

For the third prize winners, half of tuition fees are waived. In addition, they are entitled to a yearly allowance: 2000RMB/person/ month.

Note: Interview is needed.

Special Requirements

Pay Deposit Before Getting Admission Letter: Required, and You Will Need to Pay 3,000 RMB

You will need to pay 3,000 RMB as a deposit to the university before you can get admission letter, and usually it will be used as part of the tuition fee.

1. Good physical and mental health (no infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with regular study).

2. Applicants for master's program should be under 35 by September 1st, 2023.

3. Academic Requirement: As of September 1st, 2023, applicants for master's program must hold a bachelor's degree.

4. Learning Ability
Applicants should have good learning ability and academic performance. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above.
Applicants may provide other evidence of academic ability, such as the GRE and GMAT scores.

5. Language Requirement
IELTS Academic Test overall 6.0 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element)
TOEFL 80 or above (My best Scores, iBT home edition, Essentials, DI code C317 are accepted)
PTE Academic Test (55 or above)
Duolingo English Test (105 or above)

6. Nationality Requirements
The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports. For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants must hold the passports or citizenship certificates of their current countries for at least 4 years in addition to the 2-year “proof of residence” in recent 4 years.
Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:
1) The certificate proving that the applicant obtained the foreign nationality at birth;
2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality. 

Documents You Need to Provide

1. A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport
Applicants currently residing in mainland China must also provide a scanned copy of the currently valid visa page or residence permit page.

3. One passport photo taken in recent time

4. A clearly scanned copy of the Bachelor's degree certificates
Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
A scanned copy of the graduation certificate is required if the applicant completed the Bachelor's or Master's degree study in China.
A scanned copy of the pre-graduation certificate is required if the applicant has not yet earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree certificate. The original degree certificate should be re-submitted prior to registration.

5. A scanned copy of the academic transcript for the Bachelor degree during the entire study period
Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
If the applicant has not yet completed the required Bachelor's degree study, the applicant should provide the transcript of all semesters up to the time of application.

6. English proficiency certificate
Students who are exempt from providing English proficiency certificate should from countries listed in the downloaded file.

7. Physical Examination Certificate based on the prescribed format which should be produced within the last 6 months
Applicants who are currently in China and have a “Residence Permit” or a “Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card”, can use either of these two documents to substitute the Physical Examination Certificate.

8. Study plan for Master degree program based on prescribed form
In Chinese or English.

9. Two ‘Recommendation Letters’ from Professors or Associate Professors
Written in English from two respectable professors. including professors' contact no, email address and handwritten signature.

10. Non-criminal record (valid for six months).

11. Notarized copies of other awards or academic achievements (if any).

12. Supervisor Acceptance Letter
Acceptance letter is not a must for master applicants and will be a bonus point.

13. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
