Scholarship Detail

Full scholarship

● A fee waiver of tuition, registration, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks;

● Accommodation: Free on-campus dormitory accommodation (double room),

● Monthly stipend: CNY1, 500 per month

Students registering before the 15th of the month (the 15th included) will receive full stipend of that month. Those who register after the 15th of the month will receive half stipend of that month. If registered student stays out of China for more than 15 days (school holidays excluded), his stipend will be stopped during his leaving. Graduating students will receive stipend until half month after the graduation date

● Medical insurance Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students while in China.

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China, and be in good health

2 Education background and age limit: - Applicants for bachelor’s degree program must be a high school graduate and under the age of 25; - Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35; - Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40; - Visiting students must have bachelor’s degree.

1. Program Overview

Editor Notes: After meeting requirements of core course, lab courses, practicum and thesis writing, international students will graduate successfully.

This program combines the study of theories on pharmaceutical issues and intensive training in research technologies. The program is intended to provide students with strong scientific and technical backgrounds. The program is designed to prepare students for research and academic careers in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical assessment, clinical rational drug application, pharmaceutical administration, research, design, production and management of new medicine. Upon graduation, students must have completed core courses, lab courses, practicum and thesis writing.

NTAGANIRA EPHRAIM from Uganda

BSc in Pharmacy (candidate)

It's been such an experience, the one year and almost four months since I left Uganda to study in China, Nanjing and CPU in particular. I have been exposed and learnt a lot in this foreign country, of which including; the Chinese language program I pursued from last year (2012-2013), adding to the languages in which I can express myself, I have enjoyed interacting amongst the Chinese university students and fellow foreign students from around the world especially "Africa" and "Asia" as well making friendship with them, and not forgetting the delicious Chinese dishes which have added to my diet. Currently am doing a bachelor of Pharmacy in English which to my observation, on average has been conducted well so far. And the Chinese culture program from which I have learnt about China's history, cultural events and festivals, tourism sites, some of which I have got a chance to visit here in Nanjing, to mention but a few.

To conclude it all, my stay in China Pharmaceutical University and China as a country has been worth a good experience.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.

Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and around May to June for Autumn Intake.

Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.

Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
