The major of Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology was set up in 2003. The main goal of the major is to training professional and technical talents essential to petroleum, chemical engineering, city planning industry to take up long-distance pipeline transportation of oil and gas, oil depots, oilfield surface engineering such as oil and gas gathering and transportation pipeline design and management.
The Department of Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering possesses advanced laboratories including: Oil Transportation Technology Lab, Rheology Lab, Oil Property Lab, Oil Evaporation Measuring Lab, Oil Depot Simulation Lab, and so on. There are six professional teachers, which one professor, three vice-professors, one senior lecturer, one engineer and five of them possess doctor degree. The professional teachers are undertaking three research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, many provincial and enterprise cooperation projects. All of the professional teachers of the department are experts in research and teaching.
