a. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.

This program is oriented towards cultivating professionals with a strong work ethic and a good understanding of China and Chinese culture, proficient in teaching skills and techniques for Chinese language and culture and handling intercultural communication. It targets international students with a Bachelors Degree and Chinese language proficiency, passionate for Chinese language and culture, and dedicated to Chinese language teaching and the promotion of international exchange between China and other countries.

The first year of study focuses on the completion of intensive core courses, the third semester study is carried out in the students’ home country in the form of an internship, and the fourth semester study centers on completing a graduation thesis under the guidance of supervisors.

The program is carried-out by a combination of course study and Chinese teaching internship; an integration of Chinese teaching and Chinese culture communication and interaction of guidance between supervisors and internship advisers. Graduates may have the opportunity to work in schools, news agency, governments, public institutions or relevant organizations, engaging in teaching Chinese to foreigners and promoting cultural exchange activities.

Q: If I failed to get the scholarship, is the money refundable?
A: No, because the application process for this scholarship is complicated and hard to deal with. We need a very long time to help you apply it. As a result, it is not refundable.


Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and aroud May to June for Autumn Intake.


Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.


Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
