Clothing

The average temperature at the end of August is about 20℃-35℃ (68-95 oF). In Northeast China, the temperature is lower, with the highest temperature seldom exceeding 30℃ (86 oF). So T-shirt, shorts or light pants would be suitable clothing. But do remember to bring a long-sleeve light jacket with you in case you arrive at night or when it’s raining.

Toiletries & Cosmetics

Most toiletries can be purchased in China. Some of your favorite brands may be hard to find, expensive, or unavailable in China, especially outside of cities with large expat communities like Beijing and Shanghai. Generally though, major brands such as P&G, Johnson & Johnson or L'Oreal are widely available at large supermarkets and the drugstore chain Watsons.
