As an MBA student, we encourage you to contribute and share your knowledge and experience in classroom and group work. Good preparation, active listening and discussion, high levels of engagement and devotion of time and energies will bring about unexpected and highly satisfactory results.
Our faculty uses a variety of teaching methods which they think it fits best with the course contents. Thus, you will experience different methods such as lectures, case studies, group work and study trip.
Lectures and discussions
It is the commonest teaching pattern in MBA teaching. Through sharing work experiences, you are expected to be fully engaged in structured lectures and classroom discussions, learn from lecturers, classmates and yourselves.
Case studies
Case studies are one of the most popular learning tools in MBA study, which embody a diversified method of individual preparation, group meeting and analysis, class discussion and faculty instruction and facilitation. There is no absolutely correct or wrong answer to solve any business problems; however, diverse perspectives and fresh insights will be evoked.
Group work
Group work is a form of cooperative learning. It aims to cater for individual differences, develop your knowledge, generic skills and attitudes. You will be assigned to a study group of five to seven people based on your diverse backgrounds at the beginning of the first semester, and will work with your group members throughout the first term. You have the opportunity to form your groups by yourselves from the second semester.
Field trips
Feild trip is a new method in MBA teaching.Instead of classrooms, students will be taken outside, such as companies, public areas etc. Professors and corporate guests will be there sharing their knowledge. By exposed to the above mentioned environment, students are expected to experience and learn more first-hand and course related information.
Study trips
An extended group experience off campus is supplemental to regular courses. Accompanied and supervised by faculty, a short-term visit to other cities or companies helps you gain an awareness of the real business world, and establish connections with social communities.
