Brief Introduction

The course is designed in accordance to the latest trend in the world, so as to make it globally acceptable as well as to incorporate the requirements of SAARC countries. Since it's beginning in 2001 the university has enrolled nine batches of medical students from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Singapore, USA, Canada, Korea, Fiji, Cameroon etc into the MBBS courses. Six batches of international MBBS students have graduated from this medical school as of 2011.

The MBBS graduates have excelled in the medical council licensing examinations in their respective countries including Nepalese Medical Council Licensing Examinations and Medical Council of India Screening Test Examinations while other graduates have passed USMLE licensing Examination to practice in USA and Australia Medical Council Licensing Examination to practice in Australia and average rate of acquiring Medical License is 90%. Graduates of this medical school have been employed in reputed government or private hospitals in their home countries.

Study duration

6 years, including two years of basic medical science, three years of clinical science training and one year of internship

Selective courses: Acupuncture, Modern Oncology, Clinical Pharmacology, Rehabilitation, Emergency Medicine

Internship

Students can choose to do the internship/training in China, their home country or any other country.

If international students would like to do the internship in China, it would be done in The First University Hospitalthe which is also called as Huaxi Hospital. And studetns need to pass the HSK 3 to contact with patients.

If students want to do the internship in other country, SCU need to do an qualification evaluation on the hospital which student choose. Students only need to pay for the processing fee and examination fee.

And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in SCU.

Degree Awarded

Applicants are required to pass HSK test (level 3) before the graduation.

Note: The requirement of the level of HSK may be changed according to the Ministry of Education of P.R.C..

MBBS Degree: upon graduation, students need to pass the HSK 3 to get the diploma. On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by the SCU, if they meet the degree regulations of the university. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).

After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master’s degree.

Written in Chinese or in English, including personal information, the reason for application, knowledge about the targeted major, the future learning plan, etc.

*9. Foreigner's physical examination form

Physical examination shall be completed within 6 months before submission of application.
