Introduction

Ever since its advent, the BRICS, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, has followed the principles of open and transparent, being united and interdependently helpful, deepening cooperation, and pursuing mutual development, upheld its spirits of “Openness, Inclusiveness, Cooperativeness and Win-win”, and been committed to build the more intimate, comprehensive and consolidated partnerships. Besides traditional economic and trade cooperation, the cooperation among the BRICS also involves cultural exchange.

Audiovisual plays a fundamental role in cultural exchanges, and each one of the BRICS owns a lot of excellent film professionals. With the aim of widening the international horizon of their young film talents, promote international film education, and innovate professional talent training, Beijing Film Academy formulates The Beijing Film Academy Film Talents Promotion Program for the BRICS. The program will be at the service of the overall national policy while facilitating film education interchange among the members of the BRICS.

Other than China, each of other countries of the BRICS, Russia, India, and South Africa, may send one international student to Beijing Film Academy for a master degree of film major. There will be there international students in total, from Russia, India, and South Africa respectively, in 2019 to come and study for the master degree.

Enrollment specialties

• a. Any applicant shall hold a non-Chinese citizen valid passport and have good moral behavior, abide by the law and regulations of the People's Republic of China, without any criminal record. Those applicants who recently changed for a foreign nationality, please pay special attention: According to Foreign Language Education Official Regulation No. 83 (2009), since 2010, any overseas applicant shall hold a foreign country valid passport or certificate of his/her citizenship for 4 years or more; or he/she shall have been living overseas for 2 years or more (before be admitted on April 30th of the relevant academic year). Note: Nine months of actual overseas living may be calculated as one year according to the singing for entry and exit.
• b. Any applicant shall have an equal degree of a bachelor in China, fresh or a former one. Anyone who has a master degree or doctoral degree majoring in the specialty associated with the film art will be preferred.
• c. The applicant shall be moral and abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China without any criminal records; he or she shall be healthy according to the requirements, national or at the university level.

Note: If you don't have HSK level certificate you need to study two-year pre-university program to learn Chinese.
