Program Description
Civil Engineering is a specialty which is made to solve the problems in industrial and civil architecture by applying fundamental science theories and related mathematical calculation tools. Students are trained to grasp basic theories of all kinds of civil engineering disciplines and expertise; they are expected to be capable of working on planning, design, construction, management and research in the areas of buildings, underground structures, road and bridge construction as well as foundation treatment. They will be growing at DUT to be advanced engineers and technical personnel who are experts in modern science, technology and management.
Teaching Objective
The Civil Engineering programme is designed to educate technical professionals who have a solid foundation, all-round professional knowledge and a good command of design, construction and management of building engineering. Special emphasis is put on innovation, project management, team work and practical capabilities in addition to training of foundation knowledge.

Graduates can be senior engineers to engage in planning, design, construction, management and development of technology and scientific research in the field of building, underground building, road, bridge building and ground treatment.

Entry Requirements
1. Non-Chinese citizen.
2. Age between 18 to 25 years old and in good health.
3. High School diploma and transcript.
4. TOEFL (Score 80 or above) or IELTS (Score 5.5 or above) Certificate, or English-Medium certification issued by graduated high school, applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from proof of English language proficiency.
