Program Description
1. Program Overview
Editor Notes: The program is suited for those who do not meet the minimum requirements for direct entry into SCUT's undergraduate programs.
- Designed to prepare international students to operate in a university.
- Familiarizing with the requirements needed to succeed as an undergraduate student.
- All courses are conducted in English by SCUT lecturers and by experienced English-speaking instructors.
2. Main Courses
Editor Notes: Students will study a various kind of courses.
English-Medium: Mathematics, Physics, English, Basic Chinese, Management, Introduction to Computer Science.
3. Graduation
Editor Notes: After completing this program, students can choose whether English-taught or Chinese-taught undergraduate degree program.
Students are guaranteed admission to English-taught undergraduate degree programs at SCUT if they successfully complete the program. Students can also apply for Chinese-taught degree programs if they meet the basic Chinese language requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, a certificate recognized by other higher education institutions will be awarded.

Entry Requirements
- 5 IGCSE/O-levels grade A-D or 9-4 (new grading system) in relevant subjects, excluding native language/GED/Vocational Colleague graduate Certificate and results, or a letter from your current school which shows that you have successfully completed two years of high school.
- English test results: Applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit a TOEFL score of 50 or IELTS 5.0, excluding IGCSE/O-levels/GED.
