Overview

Finance is a field lush with great earning potential and rewarding career options in a wide range of industries. A finance degree allows you to work with the decision makers of outside organizations. This course equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in cooperate operation and finical market, which will cultivate and benefit future financial practitioners.

Students need to obtain 143 credits in total, of which 118 for in-class courses and 25 for community immersion, computer skill test and thesis.

Career Paths

The courses provides a solid academic foundation for employment in wide-ranging employment markets, including corporate finance (capital budgeting, risk control),investments (portfolio management, security analysis) and financial institutions(investment banking, lending).

In order to be considered for admission, you must:

be a non-Chinese citizen, 18-45 years old, in good health, AND

have completed senior high school education or will receive by the summer before matriculation at SUFE in September 2023, a high school diploma.

Chinese Language Proficiency

Chinese is the language of instruction when you come to study undergraduate programs at SUFE. Your lectures, tutorials, exams, class discussions and thesis writing will be in Chinese. Given this, an adequate level of proficiency in Chinese must be demonstrated for admission.

Acceptable Chinese proficiency test scores and minimum requirements

  * The validity of HSK is two years.

An applicant who has immigrated from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to another country should also submit one copy of certificate of naturalization, canceling the formal household registration in China, continuous residence in the current country for at least two years in the past four years. All the documents should be certified and translated (if documents are nor in English or Chinese) by an authorized person.

*7. Academic transcript certified (and translated if documents are nor in English or Chinese) by an authorized person.

*8. Senior high school diploma certified (and translated if documents are nor in English or Chinese) by an authorized person.

Applicants who will graduate in 2021 need to submit a pre-graduation certificate.

*9. One piece of personal statement in English or Chinese.

10. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct

Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.

11. Certificates of nationality

Canceling the formal household registration in China, continuous residence in a foreign country for more than two years in the past four years (30th April 2017 - 30th April 2021). (required for an applicant who has immigrated from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to another country, an applicant who has acquired foreign nationality by birth but has studied at Chinese primary and secondary schools and has at least one parent who is Chinese. The later one does not need to present proof for canceling the formal household registration in China.) All the documents should be certified (and translated if documents are nor in English or Chinese) by an authorized person.
