1. Objective

This major aims to train students to possess the modern management and information economy concept, to master the information technology and the comprehensive service skills of E-Commerce as well as the solid professional foundation and quality knowledge structure. Graduates of the courses are to develop a certain Internet entrepreneurial and innovation quality, and be able to skillfully deal with the issues related to the business operation, professional management and technical service of international under the network environment, who will be characterized as the international, interdisciplinary, applied and entrepreneurial talents.

This major sets up two professional directions with the training objectives as follows:

1). Cross-border E-Commerce Direction

This major aims to cultivate the compound talents with understanding the essence of foreign trade, being proficient in network, daring to challenge innovation and entrepreneurship. After graduation, the students possess the good capability of cross-cultural communication, overseas consumer behavior analysis and market survey, logistics and supply chain management, planning and organization of cross-border E-Commerce as well as analysis and optimization of E-Commerce operation data. At the same time, they also need to understand the basic knowledge of international payments and international logistics and international trade. In addition, the relevant laws and regulations are required.

2). Internet Product Manager Direction

Graduates will be trained as the compound talents with understanding the marketing operation and the design of Internet products as well as the application of computer technology. Upon successful completion of the courses, students should have acquired and enhanced their multi-abilities, including investigating and analyzing the business market, designing the business model, developing and promoting the Internet product, planning and operating the E-Commerce project and good communication skills. Meanwhile they also possess the comprehensive quality of entrepreneurship and innovation management in the Internet environment.

2. Learning Outcomes

i. To be of virtue, law-abiding and proactive; to display the strong sense of political literacy and professionalism, the team spirits, and the willingness to take on the social responsibilities.

ii. Master the basic principles of economic science, management science and information science; grasp the basic theories of modern business operation.

iii. Understand the rapid development trends of E-Commerce emerging industry; focus on the innovation of industrial technology and business model; and timely master the corresponding knowledge of theory and technology.   

iv. Be familiar with the guidelines, policies and laws history regarding E-Commerce at home and abroad; understand the international practice and rule.

v. Be able to engage in the planning and designing of E-Commerce application project as well as the application of operation management. 

vi. Master the methods of information retrieval and data analysis; to be with good comprehensive quality, strong ability of interdisciplinary study and certain amount of research ability as well as the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial potential.

vii. Have a good command of English in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

viii. To possess the physical and mental health.

3.The curriculum and credits requirement is:

21 compulsory credit from General knowledge I, 4 credits from General knowledge Ⅱ, 25 credits from Specialty Basic Courses, 25 credits from Specialty core Courses, 26 credits from Specialty direction Courses, 21 credits from Practical Courses, 6 credits from Specialty Featured Courses (you can choose courses in the whole university). And the minimum requirement of graduation is 128 credits.

2). Requirements for Degree Courses

Degree courses are core courses of the program and the basis for the other courses. Therefore, there must be accurately-defined objectives, systematic curricular-teaching experience, effective implementation and scientific evaluation for such courses, and the standard and quality of such courses must be improved by all means on the basis of their guaranteed hours and credits, so as to lay a solid foundation for students’ learning of their other professional courses.

1.Applicant should be aged between 18 and 30 (born after September 1, 1993);

2.Applicant should be non-Chinese citizens with valid regular foreign passport and be friendly to China;

*Residents of China who have emigrated to a foreign country and who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, 2023). (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year. The dates of the entry and exit stamps in the passport will be followed in the determination of the actual length of foreign residence).

3.Applicant should hold a high school diploma with a satisfactory academic record;

4.Language requriement: applicant who apply for Chinese taught programs should have HSK 4 certificate or above。

5.Applicant should have no criminal record and no drug addiction history;

6.Aplicant should be in good health and have no serious infectious diseases.

No less than 1000 words, applicants who apply for English taught program should write the plan in English, applicants who apply for Chinese taught program should write in Chinese.

*11. Physical examination record for foreigner

Complete it in Chinese or English, The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
