6-year programs: Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Preventive Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Anesthesiology, Medical Imaging, Laboratory Medicine
Clinical electives for international students with an aim to improve their medical knowledge and skills, and help them to have a better understanding of Chinese medical education and its on going development. The program provides courses in two fields: clinical observation and laboratory techniques. Students are required to decide their interested fields before admission.
Chinese or English is the studying language in both hospitals and laboratories. French can be used in some departments in the hospitals.
1. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with good conduct and with no criminal records and shall be in good health both physically and psychologically, excellent in academic performance, friendly to China and abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the discipline and regulations of Kunming Medical University. To apply as international students in bachelor's degree, Chinese immigrants in other countries shall present the valid passport or citizenship
documents issued at least 4 years before and have lived at least 2 years (with 9 months being considered as one year, subject to the entry-exit stamp on passports) in foreign countries within last 4 years (counting to 30th April each year).
2. Academic and age requirements:
Applicants for bachelor’s degree programs must hold a graduation certificate of the senior-high school or above and be from 18-25 years of age.
3.Language proficiency requirements:
Applicants for English medium programs shall have the ability to join the professional studies in English. English proficiency certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, or other corresponding English proficiency certificates are required for those whose native languages are not English, with the academic score being 6.0 or above and with each item no less than 5.0 for IELTS and with the Internet-based Testing score being 70 points or above and with each item no less than 15 for TOEFL. And other English proficiency test scores refer to the IELTS and TOEFL scores.
Applicants who are of native English speakers or have been taught in English medium during their previous study levels, shall provide their English marks or shall have English Proficiency certificates provided by the previous schools. Applicants who have Chinese language foundations will have the priority for admission.
