Shandong University of Science and Technology has been running Summer Chinese Language and Culture programs for many years, and receives extensive recognition for the excellent delivery. The faculty are active, enthusiastic, patient, devoted, knowledgeable, full of teaching skills, and have accumulated rich experience in teaching Chinese to international students. They are teachers in class and good friends with their students outside class. Every summer a lot of young people from around the world, such as the USA, the UK, Russia, South Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Australia, Canada etc, come to our university for one month to experience Chinese language and culture and explore the myth of an ancient eastern country.

Proficiency levels

The program is offered at three different levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will be placed into different classes according to their Chinese language proficiency.

Main Courses 

There are 3 levels courses: elementary level, intermediate level and advanced level. Also, Chinese tutoring is offered.

Note: The course Experiencing Chinese Culture mainly includes Chinese culture lectures, making dumplings, Chinese painting and calligraphy, Shadow-boxing (Taiji), Peking Opera, Chinese culture saloon, etc.

Optional tour(at students'own expense): One-day trip to Qingdao, two-day to Tai'an and Qufu.

-- A brief introduction,which should include your personal information, your family background, your guardian, your hobby, your awards chieved if have, and some other information you want us to know;
-- What is your reason to study in China and apply to our university;
-- How do you come to know our university;
-- The future study plan, if you are a master or PHD applicants, you should say more about this part;
-- Do you have any experience living or studying in China? If have, what impressed you most?
-- Have you visited China before? Have you learned Chinese before? If you learned, which level you have reached?
