Cultivation Objective:

This major training meets the development needs of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic. Students will have a basic knowledge of humanistic literacy and scientific spirit, a systematic grasp of modern economic analysis methods, and a thorough understanding of international trade rules, practices, and international business operation models. They will have strong English communication skills and good professional skills, and become high-quality, composite, and application-oriented talents who can engage in foreign-related work based on strength perspective and international thinking.

Cultivation Characteristics:

This major adopts a teaching mode that combines theoretical teaching and experimental teaching. On the basis of the students' solid grasp of the basic theory of international trade, this major strengthens the ability of international trade practice and increases the comprehensive quality of international students by increasing the proportion of practical courses, experimental courses and case teaching.

Cultivation Requirements

Graduates of this major should acquire the following qualities, knowledge and abilities:

1. They have good political literacy, moral sentiment and integrity, and have a good sense of social responsibility and mission. They are truth-seeking, pragmatic, positive and aggressive.

2. They have a solid knowledge of economics and international trade, and are familiar with Chinese and international trade regulations. They are familiar with international trade processes, basic international trade negotiation communication and financial analysis skills.

3. They have a high level of English learning and use, better listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and have a certain Chinese ability. They have computer application skills and can use modern information technology and financial software to deal with practical problems in professional fields.

4. They master the methods and skills of economic management literature retrieval, the ability to obtain information, knowledge and scientific research. They have independent thinking and writing skills.

Teaching Plan of International Trade and Economics

This teaching plan is only for reference; all courses are subject to our final schedule.

• 1) Applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen with equivalent Chinese high school diploma or above, age from 18 to 40, and in good  health.
• 2) Applicants applying for Chinese-taught programs: In addition to the application materials, a certificate of HSK level 4 or above is also required.
• 3) For applicants who are Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) emigrants with foreign nationality, or who are born with foreign nationality and their parent (s) are overseas Chinese, it is required to have a valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality for at least 4 years, and have actually lived abroad for at least 2 years within the last four years. Subject to entry and exit stamps, a nine-month actual residence in one single year can be regarded as one year.
