Program Description
The International Education Program for PhD Degrees in the department of Chemistry is one of the full English instruction programs of Northeast Normal University.This program provides Doctor of chemistry degree (including: inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analysis chemistry, physical chemistry and polymer chemistry) in the department of chemistry with various academic research focuses. The program is suited for those who want to pursue a career in chemistry that may lead to teaching or consulting practice and for scholars who intend to explore particular research issues in depth.

Mentorship and Supervision
An academic mentorship will be arranged for students’ research project and thesis/dissertation. For PhD students, the supervision will be given based on students’ research intention and faculty members’ expertise by a supervising group consisting of three faculty members under the leadership of the core supervisor. The supervisors and supervising groups accordingly will be responsible to guide and monitor students’ research process from research proposal to final thesis/dissertation accomplishment.

Entry Requirements
1. Non-Chinese citizens.
2. Applicants should be excellent in their studies, self-conduct, be healthy mentally and physically and obey Chinese laws and regulations.
3. Applicant should be under 45 years old and have already obtained a Master's degree or equivalent education.
4. For Chinese who emigrated abroad, they must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years or more, and within the last four years (before April 30, 2022), the record of living abroad should be more than 2 years (The actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year based on the entry and exit stamps).
5. English language proficiency certificate.

*2. Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test
Bring your original documents when entering China. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
