Program Description

Lingnan MBA program is among the top 10 programs nationally and enjoys an unshakable leading position in South China. Lingnan College provides IMBA students with not only high-level education but also numerous opportunities to study overseas.

Basic Settings

1.  Students are classified by taking a proficiency test.

2.  A class is usually composed of 20-30 students.

GLOBAL IMMERSION PROGRAMS

Dual Degree Program

Aiming to provide the most up-to-date business perspectives and knowledge, Lingnan offers full-time international MBA students with the opportunity to get dual degree from the partner universities.

MIT Sloan Visiting Fellows Program

To further broaden the global business vision of international MBA students, Lingnan will select up to 4 international MBA students as MIT Visiting Fellows to study at MIT Sloan for one semester every year, which is one of the most strategic move for Lingnan international MBA program.

International Exchange Program

Lingnan has established exchange programs with 40 partner schools around the world. Students could apply for semester-based exchange to broaden their global visions and enrich their MBA experience.

International Study Tour

In addition to international exchange opportunities, Lingnan offers overseas study tour for MBA students to further broaden their global business perspective. Every summer since the year of 2012 Lingnan (University) College has organized international study tours in the U.S.A. and Europe. The study tours include lectures, company visits and student events.

Action Learning Program

Lingnan international MBA program integrates Action Learning in the core of its curriculum. International MBA students are assigned with specific projects that emphasize the application of traditional classroom learning into real-life settings while addressing critical business issues faced by corporate clients.

Lectures and Forums

Lingnan (University) College and Lingnan MBA Center provide various lectures and forums, opening windows for the students to understand the rapidly changing business world and to communicate with the industry elites and senior executives.

Scholarship

Lingnan has established an extensive and stable network with leading domestic and international enterprises. Many of Lingnan corporate partners, including Deloitte, Bayer, Pepsi, GlaxoSmithKline, Cisco, Olympus and Toyota, provide scholarships for MBA freshmen.

Career Development

Lingnan provides career development services to its full-time students with the support from the Career Development Center.  Career development courses, job fairs, mock interview, internship, etc will be provided to the students.

 

Entry Requirements

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport.

2. Applicants should be in good health and meet the physical standards that are required for applying for a student visa or residence permit.

3. Applicants for master's programs must hold a bachelor's degree equivalent to that of Chinese universities.

4. Applicants should be friendly to China, hardworking and diligent in their studies with excellent academic performance, upstanding and law-abiding, without any records of violations of the rules and regulations of their school, or any other security penalties or criminal records.

5. Language proficiency

To apply for English-taught majors, the language proficiency requirements are: Master of Business Administration (International Business Administration) (hereinafter referred to as IMBA): TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic certificate must be submitted with TOEFL scores of 79 or above (15 or above in each subject) or IELTS scores of 6.5 and above (5.5 or above for each subject). Applicants who have completed their last degree with English as the language of instruction should submit certificates of English language proficiency issued by their former school and can be exempted from providing English level certificates after SYSUs verification.

Those who are about to graduate should provide a certificate confirming their expected date of graduation issued by their university.

*10. Two letters of recommendation

Two letters of recommendation should be signed by professors or associate professors in Chinese or English (the autograph and valid contact information should be also included). If the recommendation letter(s) is/are sealed, applicants can send the paper version directly to the school without uploading the electronic version.

*11. Physical examination report

It should be filled out in Chinese or English with the official stamp of the hospital. Physical examination results should be valid for three months.
