This program offers courses for different levels and curriculums, namely Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Pre-University as well as Intensive Training. A scientific learner-centered method with clear focus and great flexibility is adopted to enhance the communication skills of the students. A variety of activities are offered for practicing language skills and experiencing Chinese culture in authentic situations.

In order to lay a solid foundation for students in their undergraduate and graduate studies, the pre-university courses added basic sports-related vocabulary items in addition to fundamental Chinese knowledge and skills. The course length is one semester or one academic year.

(I) High school graduates with ages ranging from 18 to 55;

(II) Non-Chinese citizens who hold a foreign passport and comply with the relevant regulations set by the “Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC ";

(III) Are physically and mentally healthy; meet the physical examination requirements for Chinese Visa and Residence Permit in China as well as the physical examination requirements for BSU programs so as to ensure their study and life in China;

(IV) Have no record of discipline violation, public security punishment or criminal conduct; show respect towards China and behave well; comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese customs.
