1. Training Objectives

This program aims to output high-level, application-oriented and inter-disciplinary specialized talents in field of Public Management, Public Affairs, Public Policy, etc. for government departments and non-governmental organizations. This program trains candidate to be administrators, policy analyzers and leaders in possession of theoretical literacy and skills of Modern Public Management, Public Affairs, and Public Policy and proficient in one public management field.

4. Degree Requirement

Editor Notes: The duration of this program is 2 years and students are required to complete 36 credits.

2-year program.
Total credits required are no less than 36. All courses should be finished in the first year, the second year is for preparing the dissertation.

6. School of Management

Editor Notes: The school actively conducts strategic cooperation with enterprises and associations, cultivates management talents for both large enterprises and SMEs, and participates in consulting and solving of enterprise's actual management problems.

JSU is located in Jiangsu province, eastern coastal area of China, which also has a tremendous SME cluster in China. School of Management made its mission to cultivate and spread Chinese style management thought and science. Striving unceasingly, it has achieved distinctive characteristics in the field of SME management. The school was awarded Research and Training Base of SMEs in China by SME department of former State Economic and Trade Commission, and it is in possession of the only one SME college of China. The SME development and research center was awarded Development and Research Base of SMEs in Jiangsu Province, becoming the first batch of Social Science Research Base in Jiangsu province.

1. Non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, possess a strong academic background, are willing to comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people are eligible to apply;
2. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Principally, an applicant's age should not exceed 30 years old.;
3. Applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide scanned copies of TOEFL, IELTS, GRE scores, or other documents proving their English proficiency.

Applicants without a criminal record certificate may submit proof of good conduct during their time in university (only for current university students).

A scanned copy of the passport's main page (valid until after September 30, 2024). Applicants with previous experiences in China should provide scans of all documents related to Chinese visas and residence permits.

*6. Original or Notarized Degree Certificates

Original or notarized copies of all degree certificates starting from the undergraduate level. Current graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their universities (graduation date should be before February 29, 2024). The original degree certificates must be submitted upon registration.

*7. Original or Notarized Transcripts

Transcripts for all courses taken starting from the undergraduate level.
Academic transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

*8. CV

Include a chronological list of educational experiences from the undergraduate level onward. Applicants with previous educational experiences in China should include all study experiences.

*9. Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Applicants must undergo a medical examination following the items listed in the form. The examination results are valid for 6 months.

10. List and Abstracts of Published Academic Papers.

*11. Financial Statement

Either the family deposit certificate, property certificate or parent/guardian income certificate with a recommended minimum value of $5,000 USD or equivalent.

*12. Two Recommendation Letters

Either Chinese or English and signed by associate professors or professors in a relevant field.

*13. Study Plan

At least 800 words, include details about applicants' educational and work background, academic achievements, research plans, and personal development goals. Ph.D. applicants should also provide a detailed academic research plan.

14. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct

Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
