The non-degree program aims to provide international students with opportunities for one semester/year study, exchange and research in relevant majors or fields of study of our conservatory. The program includes two types: general program and advanced program. Non-degree program admits students twice in every spring semester and autumn semester, and the duration of study is one semester or one academic year.

Major List and Research Fields Information

For general non-degree students, please refer to the "Bachelor program page" for more information about the majors.

International students of non-degree programs will attend lectures together with Chinese students, and the lectures are taught in Chinese.

Note: Applicants can apply for one major or research field only.

1. Applicant shall be in good physical and mental health；
2. Applicants shall have good moral character and no criminal record; be willing to abide by Chinese laws and regulation, as well as the rules of the XACM.
3. For general non-degree program, applicants shall be between the age of 18 and 35; for advanced non-degree program, applicants shall be between the age of 18 and 40 (as of March 30 2023).
4. For general non-degree program, applicants shall hold at least a high school diploma or graduation certificate;
5. For general non-degree program, applicants shall have Chinese language proficiency equivalent to or above HSK Level 4;
6. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport. For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants must hold passport or citizenship certificate of their current countries for at least 4 years in addition to the 2-year “proof of residence” in recent 4 years (as of March 30, 2023. actual residence in a foreign country for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).
Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:
1) The certificate proving that the applicants obtained the foreign nationality at birth;
2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
