The children's curriculum is designed to focus on the learning needs of early childhood learners (over 4 years old), combining a wide range of topics such as life and learning; guided by professional Chinese tutors; using colorful and dynamic teaching methods to provide early childhood learners a practical and immersive learning experience.
Our children's courses are professional and interesting at the same time because we believe that having fun is the best motivation for young learners to learn Chinese. Our classroom and content have been designed and structured to ensure the learning effect of young learners and let them take away knowledge when they leave the classroom.
According to the different learning goals and needs of early childhood learners, we have set up four courses: Vocabulary Book, Young Learner's Standard Course, Young Learner’s Conversational Course, and Story Book.
VOCABULARY BOOK
This is the basic course for beginners that emphasizes Mandarin pronunciation, intonation, speaking and listening. The vocabulary book course is a textbook developed using the platform - "My Friend Lily". We will follow 9-yearold Lily in her daily life and learn Chinese together. In the course, we will set a specific topic related to daily life, such as family, school, life, etc. Each class will have 5-6 keywords and a key sentence pattern, leading young learners from beginners to elementary. If your child has just started learning Chinese, the Vocabulary Book would be a good choice.
YOUNG LEARNERS' STANDARD COURSE
To provide young learners with more systematic Mandarin learning, this is a more structured course that focuses on the four aspects of Mandarin - listening, speaking, reading and writing, and also includes grammar, Chinese characters and pragmatic exercises. The content of each class is divided into 4 parts, including learning new words, grammar, reading, and Chinese characters, and each class is equipped with exercises to review and test the student's learning achievements and to identify their key areas of difficulty and for improvement. Students will be tested and assessed for Chinese proficiency after each stage of the course.
YOUNG LEARNERS'CONVERSATIONAL COURSE
The Conversational Course is set up according to different topics, it is more suitable for some young learners who have a solid grasp of the basic knowledge of Mandarin. This courses will especially take learners' speaking skills to a higher level. Each lesson will have a theme and associated vocabulary, such as food, friends, play, etc.
The focus of the speaking course is to improve the participants' Chinese fluency, encourage them to express their thoughts and feelings in standard Mandarin on a range of topics, and let the learners learn to think more instinctively in Chinese
STORYBOOK
The Storybook Course is designed for young learners at the intermediate or advanced level and features longer and more complex texts or passages as the main teaching content. The passage uses the characteristics of spiral learning methodology, combining already mastered vocabulary and sentences with new content to improve learners’ comprehension, narrative, and storytelling ability.
"Taking care" of your core knowledge and "knowing additional new content" to achieve a more ideal learning effect.
