Teaching Objective

The Master of Global Management (MGM) is a full-time postgraduate degree program customized for international fresh graduates and young professionals with interest in both international management and Chinese economy, aiming to take up leadership positions in their career.

The program intends to enhance students'  international exposure for leadership roles in cross-cultural working environment.

Career Development Service

Tongji-SEM Career Development Center(CDC) works closely with MNCs and Chinese corporations in and around Shanghai, hosts campus recruiment fairs every semester and distrubutes recruitment information among students from time to time. Some featured programs like company consultation projects have been carried out to foster and build early connections with companies. Students are also encouraged to attend various lectures host by CDC and of SEM to meet with CEOs, industry experts, practitioners, to broaden their vision and get more prepared for the future career. Chinese speaking skills are also very helpful for finding jobs in China, as most companies list this as a pre-requistie.

Entry Requirements

  1.  Above 18 years old, non-Chinese citizen and under 35.
  2.  Applicants for Master programs should have a Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  3.  Healthy both physically and mentally.
  4.  IELTS: ≥ 6.0; or TOEFL(DI code:C882): ≥ 550(PBT), ≥ 80 (iBT)
  5.  Native English speaker or applicants with bachelor degree taught English can be waived from English Proficiency Certificate requirement.
  6.  GMAT or GRE report is a plus and preferred, not compulsory.

Personal information page of ordinary passport only, students must enter China with ordinary passport, other passport types are not accepted.

*4. Copy of valid English Proficiency Certificate

IELTS or TOEFL report within 2-year validity (IELTS 6 and above, TOEFL 80 (iBT) and above); Or certificate indicating your bachelor program's medium is English.

*5. Copy of Bachelor Degree certificate

If the certificate is not in English, the original notarized translated versions must be submitted.
The certificates should be notarized by local Chinese Embassy or local Chinese Consulates (or foreign embassies or consulates in China).
Or Certificate of expected graduation issued by education in current academic institution (for applicants who will be graduating after current academic year only and must be the Original copy).
Degree certificate is required to be verified and notarized documents related to the degree certificate must be submitted at the registration.

*6. Original or notarized academic transcripts

If the academic transcripts are not in English, the original notarized translated document must be submitted.
The transcripts should be notarized by local Chinese Embassy or local Chinese Consulates (or foreign embassies or consulates in China).

*7. Original recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors

Signature and contact information are necessary.

*8. Personal Statement

Around 1000 words in English. Study and work experience, academic research achievement, planned research proposal should be included, and individual development objective after graduation.

*9. Catalogue and abstract of published papers, other documents that can prove academic ability(if applicable).

*10. Physical health report issued within the last six months; Or valid Chinese Visa.

*11. Payment evidence

If the applicant pays the application fee through bank or online bank, it is required to provide a photo of receipt or screenshot of transaction.
No requirement for those who pay through the online application system.

12. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct

Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.

13. Please be noted

In addition to the application materials mentioned above, the university may require applicants to provide supplementary materials, depending on the circumstances. When fall semester begins, you shall bring the documents and certificates with you for further check. Detailed information will be listed on Registration Guide and will be sent out with the admission notice. Your admission will be cancelled if your documents are found to be fake.
