Course Offerings

We will offer three modules. Students are required to take one language course from Module A and a maximum of two content-based courses from Module B & C.Applicants can choose 2 or 3 courses.

Module A: Chinese Language Studies
Basic Chinese
Intermediate Chinese
Advanced Chinese

Module B: Chinese History,Culture and Society

Modern Chinese History
Chinese Philosophy and Culture
Changes in Contemporary China
Nature,Science and Technology in China

Module C: Social Practice Project in China

Students will explore their interests in Chinese society by contributing to groups projects. With the guidance of the advisors in CUHK-Shenzhen,students will participate in seminars or field studies and submit projects for assessment,of which the topics cover cultural study,hot phenomenon in Chinese society or other aspects.

One-bedroom Apartment is limited in quantity and the accommodation is subject to availability.

Deposit: You are required to pay a deposit of CNY 100(for One-bedroom Apartment)or CNY 1,000(for twin room).The deposit will be refunded upon check-out.

All rooms have free Wi-Fi access.

• Student will have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at the time of joining CUHK-Shenzhen International Summer Program for Overseas Students 2018 and be able to demonstrate an average grade or equivalent academic performance of 3.0 GPA;
• For non-native English speakers,applicants are required to demonstrate the evidence of English language proficiency.
