Program Description
Shanghai Ocean University(SHOU) was founded in 1912 and jointly established by Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the State Oceanic Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In September 2017, it was selected by Ministry of Education into the country’s “Double First-Class Initiative” construction plan for its First-Class Discipline of fisheries and aquaculture. In February 2022, it was elected into the second round of "Double First-Class Initiative" universities. Our beautiful campus is located in Lingang, Pudong Nea Area, Shanghai, one of the most energetic cities in China.
College of International Cultural Exchange was founded in 2005 and is specialized in international students education for Chinese language and culture. The program is a fantastic opportunity to experience the modern and traditional Shanghai culture. We will guide you through interactive Chinese lectures and innovative culture activities to enrich your intercultural communication skills.
Program Schedule
October 7, 2023, 3 weeks or 4 weeks
Chinese Courses: Chinese courses are offered from Monday to Friday. Classes are mainly taught in practical oral Chinese to help students improve their listening and speaking abilities during the period of study.
Cultural Activities: Chinese customs and culture are introduced in a variety and interesting formats. Students will have the activities and workshops such as Chinese cuisine, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Chinese Martial Arts, etc.
City Tour(Optional)：Weekend excursions will be arranged to go sightseeing around Shanghai city. SHOU can arrange the tour or students can book the trip at accreditation tourism agency.
Popular destination: The Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Museum, China Arts Museum, Yu Garden, Shanghai Municipal History Museum, Nanjing Road, Tian Zi Fang, Si Nan Mansions. (City tour can be customized)
Certificate
After finishing the program and passing all the evaluations, you will receive the Course Completion Certificate.
