I. Training Objectives

The purpose of this program is to train high-level application-oriented professionals, who can grasp the fundamental theories, knowledge and skills in international economics and trade; who should be quick in the awareness of the current economics and trade both at home and abroad; who can comprehend and apply into practice the current accepted standards, rules, regulations in international economy and trade and who can solve practical problems in this field.

II. Training Standards

This program will be totally in line with the development of international trade practice, and combine the Chinese characteristics as well. The program emphasizes the internationalization, application, and case study. The students in this program will mainly study the basic theories and fundamental knowledge of economics, management, international economy and international trade, receive the fundamental trainings of economics and management, and master the ability of theoretical analysis and practice in international economy and trade. All the courses of this program, except a few Chinese-related ones, will be taught in English.

Knowledge: The graduate should have a basic knowledge of humanities, social sciences, master the basic theory and methods of analysis and research of economics and international economics, grasp the current development in international trade theory at home and abroad and understand the current economic policies and regulations in China as well as in main countries and areas in the world.

Ability: The graduate should have the basic skills and professional skills of doing international trade, have the capabilities of conducting analysis and research in the field of international trade with the quantitative, statistic and accounting methods, have a strong learning ability, have the entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and innovation ability, have a strong practical ability, cross cultural communication ability and social adaptability, master a foreign language and have the ability of listening,
speaking, reading, writing and translation.

Quality: The graduate should be healthy both in physical and mental, have a higher cultural quality, have certain communication ability with Chinese language.

Principles of Microeconomics, Statistics for Business and Economics, Principles of Accounting, Principles of Macroeconomics, Transition and Development of Chinese Economy, Principles of Management, Principles of Finance, International Trade, International Trade Practice, Quantitative Research Method, International Trade Law, Chinese Economic Law, International Marketing, International Service Trade

IV. Main Internship and Practice

Including Business Practice, Graduation Practice and Graduation Thesis.

V. Length of Schooling, Degree and Credits Requirements for Graduation

1．Length of Schooling：The length of schooling is flexible, generally it lasts four years. The students can graduate one year in advance or within six years

VI．The curriculum and distribution of credits

1. Curriculum: Teaching is divided into theoretical and practical teaching. Among them, the theoretical teaching is compulsory, and students may choose some elective courses from other departments, which is not compulsory.

Note: Students who have passed HSK3(new format) will be exempt from Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Listening and Speaking; Students who have passed HSK4(new format) will be exempt from Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Listening and Speaking, Intermediate Chinese, Intermediate Chinese Listening and Speaking. Those students can get the credits of corresponding courses after confirmation.

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, aged 18 and above and in good health, holding valid passports, and willing to abide by China's laws and the university's rules and regulations and show due respect to China's social and cultural customs.
• English Language Proficiency evaluation mainly depends on interview.

Please make sure you download the template here since it is different from the common template. And please make sure the applicants do below examinations and provide related reports:
1. Chest X-RAY.
2. Blood report. The blood report needs to contain the items of the report on HI= test and HCV test (hepatitis C virus).

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included(Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months. Applicants currently residing in China must include a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.)
