There is no airport in Zhenjiang, There is no airport in Zhenjing, so visitors have to transfer from neighbor cities in Jiangsu Province or the City of Shanghai. There are 8 airports in Jiangsu Province, including Nanjing Lukou Airport, Changzhou Benniu Airport, Lianyungang Baitabi Airport, Nantong Xingdong Airport, Suzhou Guangfu Airport, Wuxi Shoufang Airport, Xuzhou Guanyin Airport, Yancheng Airport. Among these, Nanjing Lukou Airport is an international airport with flights to Sydney, Atlanta and Bangkok, etc. The Lukou International Airport in Nanjing to the west and the Changzhou Airport to the east are merely 80 and 50 kilometers away from Zhenjiang respectively.
Zhenjiang is controlled by the subtropical monsoon climate so that it has four distinct seasons. The summer time is muggy due to the hot weather and plenty of rainfall, as well as the winter is chill and humid. Usually, the plum rainy season happens from the middle of June to the July when it is also the hottest time throughout a year.
Maoshan Hill: Located about 40km away from Zhenjiang, the verdant Maoshan mainly consists of three peaks and boasting magnificent natural sceneries. It is the birthplace of the Shangqing Sect of Taoism, where the highest statue of Lao-tzu is worshipped at present. Ancient Xijin Ferry Street: The 1,000-meter long Ancient Xijin Ferry Street is located in the west of downtown Zhenjiang. It was left with a number of characteristic historical sites from the Tang, Song, Yuan and Qing dynasties.
