Qufu is situated in the temperate monsoon climatic zone with a distinct semi-arid continental climate. It is dry and windy in spring when the temperature turns warm rapidly.

Summer here is torrid and rainy.

It is cool and the sky is clear in autumn after which it cools quickly.

Winter is long and chilly.

Actually there’s no airport in Qufu city. However you can take a flight to Jinan – the capital city of Shandong province and take a 2-hours bus ride to Qufu. Otherwise you can fly to Xuzhou – a big city in Jiangsu province and take a 3.5-hours bus ride to Qufu.

Qufu Train Station is a small station, about 4 kilometers southeast to Qufu. There are few trains to Beijing, Xinxiang, Jinan and some other cities within Shandong Province. Bus No. 5 runs between the Train Station and Qufu City.

Travel to the Confucius’ Mansion, you can get to know Confucius’ family and his life story. The Confucius Family Residence is located east of the Confucius Temple. The Confucius' Mansion is also called "Yansheng Master Mansion". It is the living place of closely related descendants generation after generation.
